Fury Towards The Burning Heaven
Fury Towards The Burning Heaven - Chapter 279: Yi Piaopiao’s Origin

Thirty kilometers under the Divine Martial Kingdom’s territory, a giant beast was advancing at a very fast speed. The youth at the front was carrying an old man while there were ten peak-stage Soul Travel Realm experts behind him.

“It has been five days!”

There was a trace of concern on Jiang Yi’s face. Why was Jiang Yunhai still not awake after five whole days? He currently regretted not staying in the Saint Spirit Kingdom and allowing General He to get a divine doctor to treat Jiang Yunhai.

Jiang Yunhai was fine, and after Ling Yi checked him, he was also certain that Jiang Yunhai’s body and soul spirit were fine, giving Jiang Yi some assurance. In just a few more days, they would arrive at Mt. Spirit Beast College where Master Liao—one of the four heaven-tier healers—was; and it made it even safer for him to treat Jiang Yunhai.

After making haste for another six hours, Jiang Yi was preparing to stop for a short rest and have some rations. Jiang Yunhai, who was in his arms, suddenly let out a light breath and gradually opened his eyes.

“Grandfather!”

Jiang Yi was ecstatic as he quickly controlled the Zouwu Beast to a stop and expanded the surround tunnels, making it into a large underground cavern. He then carried Jiang Yunhai and leaped off. He spoke in a pleasant tone, “Grandfather, are you alright?”

“I’m fine; I just feel a little weak.”

Jiang Yunhai closed his eyes to rest while he spoke weakly. Ling Yi, who was by the side, quickly took out an elixir and handed it over to Jiang Yi while stating, “Patrol Envoy, this is a Life Spirit Elixir which is meant for the replenishment and recovery of the physical body. Since Lord Yunhai is awake, you should let him consume it; and it will aid in his recuperation.”

“Alright!”

Jiang Yi didn’t reserve himself and took out some clean water from the Fire Spirit Pearl, allowing Jiang Yunhai to consume the elixir. Jiang Yunhai was just too weak; after consuming the elixir, he immediately went back to sleep.

Jiang Yi didn’t dare to continue traveling and wanted to let the elixir’s medicinal strength recuperate Jiang Yunhai before they set off again. With a wave of Ling Yi’s hand, everyone scattered and put up their guards.

Jiang Yi took out a huge portion of rations, clean water, and some great wine from the Fire Spirit Pearl. He asked Ling Yi to share it among the others while he took a few casual bites before he went back into cultivation.

Six hours later, Jiang Yunhai had awakened again; and this time, his complexion was much better. He opened his eyes to look at Jiang Yi and Ling Yi’s group who were standing guard, which caused him some bewilderment. After Jiang Yi opened his eyes, he then asked, “Young Lord, who are all these guests?”

Jiang Yi grinned and replied, “These are all the Consecrators of the Azure Dragon Empire. I am now a Patrol Envoy for the Azure Dragon Empire, and I borrowed them from Princess Ling Xue.”

“Greetings to Lord Yunhai!”

Ling Yi bowed with respect before giving a hand signal for everyone to withdraw several hundreds of meters away so as not to disturb their reminiscing.

“Patrol Envoy? Young Lord, what happened during this one year? How did you become a Patrol Envoy for the Azure Dragon Empire?”

Once Ling Yi and his men backed away, Jiang Yunhai then asked while astonished. The Azure Dragon Empire was a colossus, and even though it was only existing in name, even a skinny camel was still larger than a horse. Jiang Yunhai would find it surprising if Jiang Yi was able to become a commander in the Divine Martial Kingdom at such a young age, but he never would have expected Jiang Yi to become the Empire’s Patrol Envoy and could even make use of ten peak-stage Soul Travel Realm experts. Back at the Saint Spirit Kingdom, Jiang Yunhai remembered clearly that there were also a few more dozen Soul Travel Realm experts around Jiang Yi.

Jiang Yi asked with some doubt, “Grandfather, don’t you know about the incidents during the past two years? Where have you been during this period of time?”

“Me?”

Jiang Yunhai tried to recall his memories and explained, “Back then I was being pursued by the Divine Martial Kingdom’s royal military and had escaped to the Forest of Sin. I was severely injured and didn’t dare to recklessly enter the Forest of Sin; hence, I used the Soul-Devouring Shifting Art to escape and hide in an underground cave. My dantian was already crippled, and I didn’t have many elixirs left so I have no choice but to slowly recuperate after I hid.

“I only recovered after half a year. After exiting the underground cave, I was afraid that the Divine Martial Kingdom’s people would pursue me, capture me, and threaten you so I dare not stay within the Divine Martial Kingdom. I detoured around the Forest of Sin and escaped into the Saint Spirit Kingdom. I didn’t dare to enter the city, and because of my crippled dantian, it took me months to walked into the Saint Spirit Kingdom.

“Once… I arrived at the Saint Spirit Kingdom, I was captured by a group of mountain bandits and robbed me of all my belongings before I was sold to a Lan Clan’s mine. It was only recently when the Ma Clan’s merchant group went there to purchase some ores that my identity was exposed. Afterward, I was sold to Xia Wuhui by the Lan Clan’s Young Clan Head…”

“Uh!”

Jiang Yi’s heart had this clutch of pain as he held onto Jiang Yunhai’s hand and spoke with choked emotions, “Grandfather, Xiao Yi is useless and caused you to suffer. Ma Clan? Skyplume City’s Ma Clan? It seems like we were too merciful previously. If the opportunity arises, I will extinguish the Ma Clan.”

An old man, who was powerless and had his dantian crippled, had to hide in a cave for half a year. He took a journey of hardships, had to sleep outdoors, and escape to the Saint Spirit Kingdom. He was even captured and sold as a laborer in the mines. Just the thought of it made Jiang Yi guilty. Fortunately, Qian Wanguan’s timely information came; otherwise, Jiang Yunhai would have to suffer even more.

“Ke-Ke!”

Jiang Yunhai let out a kind laugh and shook his head while saying, “Grandfather didn’t suffer any hardships. Back when I followed the late Liege Lord to the battlefields, I have experienced ten folds more miserable events than this. This is nothing compared to back then. Young Lord, tell me about your incidents for Grandfather to listen.”

“En!”

Jiang Yi gently explained everything about the incidents that happened after Jiang Yunhai went missing. Including the prestige of the Kingdom War, committing treason against the Divine Martial Kingdom, intercepting Xia Wuhui’s army, creating havoc in Summer Rain City, rescuing the little fox, and many other things. Apart from his transformed dantian, he even told Jiang Yunhai secrets like the Fire Spirit Pearl.

In his opinion, there were three individuals in this world that he didn’t need to keep any secrets from: Jiang Yunhai, Jiang Xiaonu, and Su Ruoxue!

“Huuu…”

After Jiang Yi finished telling his incidents, Jiang Yunhai was sobbing while his eyes were filled with pride as he sighed with sorrow. “I have always believed our Young Lord will be outstanding, because of how exceptional Madam was. As expected, Young Lord didn’t disappoint me, and Madam can rest in peace in heaven too.”

“Madam?”

Jiang Yi’s had this grave expression as he asked, “Grandfather, can you tell me about the matters with Mother now? Zhuge Qingyun mentioned that Mother was incredible while Shui Youlan even asked… me to visit Starfall Island to see something Mother left behind. What kind of person is my Mother? Even Shui Youlan revered her! What is that Soul-Devouring Shifting Art that you mentioned earlier? Was it my Mother who imparted that art to you?”

“Yes! She did!”

Jiang Yunhai nodded seriously and whispered, “Your Mother was an incredible woman, the most incredible for ten thousand years. When she appeared on the continent, her strength was already unfathomable. From what I reckoned, she was already at the Vajra Realm; and she was only eighteen years old back then.”

“What?!”

Jiang Yi’s eyes shrank and were having this disbelief expression. An eighteen-year-old Vajra Realm martial expert? That feat was probably the first and the last on the history of Stellarsky Continent, right?

He paused for a moment and had this change in expression before he spoke softly, “Appeared on the continent? Could it be that my Mother wasn’t the people from Stellarsky Continent?”

“En.”

Jiang Yunhai nodded and replied, “Your Mother wasn’t from this continent, and I do not know exactly where she came from either. Your Mother didn’t merely have astounding strength; she had tons of mystical artifacts and mysterious powers like the Soul-Devouring Shifting Art. I have yet to cultivate this art to the extreme. If it was your Mother, she could casually shift more than a thousand miles in an instant…”

“This…”

Jiang Yi was even more shocked. His eyes flickered before he spoke with a trembling voice, “Could my Mother be a fairy that descended from the nine heavens? Does this world truly have deities?”
