Fury Towards The Burning Heaven
Fury Towards The Burning Heaven - Chapter 90: Kill Him in a Single Blade

Jiang Yi slept through the night after cultivating tirelessly and was awoken by the knocking on the door. He opened the door to find Fatty standing outside with a wretched smile on his face.

“Why are you looking so raunchy early in the morning? Did you get yourself an exquisite beauty last night?” Jiang Yi scorned.

Fatty laughed bitterly and said, “How can I get an exquisite beauty with my looks? The most I can do is to use money and buy the company of some mere ladies—since none of the exquisite beauties will take a fancy on me.”

Jiang Yi dressed neatly before turning his head and asked, “You have such a wretched smile early in the morning. So, what is the good news?”

“Hehe, there is a new mentor coming to our class. Her beauty is ranked first among the top ten beauties in our college. Our eyes are going to be in for a treat since she is so divinely beautiful.”

Fatty’s eyes were emitting light as he spoke, but his face turned gloomy very soon after. He sighed, “But we might not be able to be as relaxed as before since this beauty mentor is famous for being hard to be dealt with. That’s right… we can go up the mountains to look for a cave! You can continue cultivating while I can catch a nap. Haha, I am so smart!”

Beauty Mentor?

Jiang Yi’s eyes lit up and exclaimed loudly, “It can’t be Mentor Su, right?”

“That’s right! It is Mentor Su Ruoxue!”

Fatty nodded his head and lamented, “Su Ruoxue used to be a student of the college, and she was one of the Prodigy Cadets. However, it is unknown as to why she continued to stay in the college and became one of the mentors after graduation. Do not be fooled by her status as a mentor, she is actually only twenty-one years old, but her power had already reached the fifth stage of the Purple Mansion Realm. You must have known how stunningly beautiful she is since you have met her.

“And… let me tell you something secretly. Mentor Su came from a family with a very influential background. One of the vice principals’ son wanted to use violence against her after he failed to get her, but he went missing mysteriously. The vice principal was extremely furious, but the matter was concluded without being settled in the end.”

“So aggressive?”

Jiang Yi gasped in surprise upon hearing about the matter. All the vice principals of the college had the power of the Soul Travel Realm at the very least, and it was said that the principal was a Vajra Realm master, one of the top ten masters in the continent. It would be a slap on the face of the formidable vice principal if Su Ruoxue really harmed his son. But nothing happened to her, and she still assumed the role of a mentor in the college?

“Even your clan could not find out about her family background?”

Jiang Yi asked curiously. Since the Qian clan controlled one-third of the merchant association within the Divine Martial Kingdom, they must have a wide and established information system. It could be seen from the previous episode whereby it only took Fatty half a day to find out about his background.

“Nothing came back!”

Qian Wanguan shook his head and said, “The most powerful Vice Principal Qi views her as her granddaughter and dotes on her very much. No one dares to carry out checks on her forcefully. If we angered Vice Principal Qi, the spies planted by our clan in the college would be completely removed. No clans dared to act against her wish.”

Principal Qi!

Understanding dawned upon Jiang Yi. The old lady with silver hair whom he saw yesterday was obviously the head of all the vice principals. With her protection in the college, Su Ruoxue should be leading a comfortable life. It was no wonder why she did not need to care about Jiang Yiliu.

Qian Wanguan and Jiang Yi finished their breakfast quickly and went to assemble in the West Courtyard. When everyone had gathered at the assembly point, a lady wearing a white dress walked towards them slowly. The lady had skin as fair as the snow; her delicate and exquisite face—coupled with her alluring physique—attracted everyone’s attention, especially her icy aura which seemed to repel everyone to a thousand miles away. She could easily incite every man’s desire to conquer.

Su Ruoxue scanned through the crowd and did the headcount silently. After making sure that everyone had arrived, she waved her hand coldly and said, “Get going.”

All Write-In cadets belonged to different classes, but there was no specific class register number, with only a mentor leading the team. The low status and insignificance of a Write-In cadet could obviously be seen from this arrangement.

The small plaza nearby had cadets from other classes. All of them looked in envy when they saw that it was Su Ruoxue leading Jiang Yi’s team. Having such a beautiful lady leading the team could at least give their eyes a treat every day, wasn’t it?

Jiang Yi had about sixty to seventy people in his class, but none of them was exceptionally skillful. Qian Wanguan could be considered to have the highest status in the class, and there were six or seven cadets who came from the Qian Clan. Jiang Yi could be considered the most powerful in terms of overall combat strength.

Everyone left the college’s South gate in seconds and dashed for the foot of the mountain. Su Ruoxue was leading the team. Every step of hers was light and dainty, but each step allowed her to travel in meters. The wind blew gently against her white dress, and she looked just like a fairy who descended from the heavens as she was drifting through the wind.

“Pong-Pong!”

Majority of the class consisted of guys who were sixteen to eighteen years old. It was the age where their curiosity towards the opposite sex was at its peak. Everyone was captivated by her beauty upon seeing her drifting through the winds. They were so engrossed that they forgot that they were descending the mountain, and many of them slipped and tumbled down.

Su Ruoxue turned and looked. Although she was expressionless, a faint trace of a smile could be seen in her eyes. The cheeky yet alluring charm emitted from her eyes immediately captivated Jiang Yi, causing him to lose his footing and went tumbling down the mountain.

“Aiya, Boss, Boss!”

Fatty was born with a silver spoon in his mouth; with a background like his, he never fell short of being surrounded by beautiful ladies. It explained why he was able to keep his cool even after seeing how stunningly beautiful Mentor Su was. Upon seeing Jiang Yi tumble, he shouted out loudly and quickly rushed forward to help him. After catching up and helping Jiang Yi get up, Qian Wanguan purposely sighed out loud, “Are you okay, Boss? Aren’t you always calm on normal days? Why are you being the same as others today? You are embarrassing us…”

“Pfff!”

Su Ruoxue chuckled at the interaction between Jiang Yi’s clumsiness and Fatty’s wits. Although the smile on her face lasted for barely a second, it was enough to send people heads over heels with her. Jiang Yi was dazzled by her beauty once again as soon as he looked up after tidying his clothes. It was as if he was drunk from being mesmerized by the sight of her.

“Swish!”

A sharp sound resonated in mid-air at this moment, and a luxurious carriage towed by two snowy-white pterippi surfaced from beneath the sky. A poised and graceful man was standing proudly on the carriage, with a smile on his face while looking towards their direction.

Ancient Divine War Chariot? Jiang Yiliu!

Jiang Yi snapped out from his daze immediately, and his hair stood up in defense—like a lion king who met his natural enemy. Fatty squinted his eyes, and the other cadets nearby all looked up in awe and envy. Many female cadets were mesmerized by him and could hardly contain their excitement as Jiang Yiliu approached.

Not only was he a royal highness, but his power was also one of the top three among all the college’s Prodigy Cadets, and he was ranked top five in the Clear Sky Rankings of the Divine Martial Kingdom. Not to forget, he was extremely dashing with an incomparable demeanor and elegance. Hence, he naturally became the dream guy for many of the female cadets.

However, a look of disgust could be seen on Su Ruoxue’s eyes. She shouted out coldly suddenly, “Why are you guys all standing over there? Don’t you need to descend the mountain?”

Su Ruoxue rushed and headed forward immediately after saying her piece, but Jiang Yiliu was ahead of her. It barely took a second before the ancient divine war chariot stopped right in front of her. Jiang Yiliu jumped down from the carriage and blocked Su Ruoxue’s path. With a smile on his face, he sneered, “It’s been a while since we saw each other, Ruoxue. Why are you always hiding away from me? Am I really that unkempt in your eyes?”

“Damn!”

Resentment flashed across Fatty’s eyes. Wasn’t Jiang Yiliu being too much? He actually disregarded the presence of so many people and flirted with their mentor in public? He even used flowery words which were so disgusting, causing him to have goosebumps all over his body.

“Move aside, Jiang Yiliu!” Su Ruoxue’s expression hardened, and her face grew cold. Jiang Yiliu had a respectable status and was highly regarded by Principal Zhuge since he was unnaturally gifted. Hence, there was nothing she could do even though he kept bothering her.

“I won’t move!”

A shining light flashed from the ring on Jiang Yiliu’s hand, and a white, long sword appeared. He passed the sword’s handle to Su Ruoxue suddenly and said in a serious tone, “Ruoxue, you must have known of my intention and thoughts. Today, I shall say what I had suppressed. Unless you kill me with this blade, I am definitely taking you as my wife during my entire lifetime.”

The other end of the sword was against Jiang Yiliu’s chest. The sword was obviously a divine weapon as it went through his robe and skin unknowingly. Fresh blood oozed out from beneath the skin and soon dyed the robe red.

“Ah?”

It seemed obvious that Su Ruoxue was encountering such a situation for the first time. Although she was a mentor, she was also just twenty-one years old; hence, she got flustered and unclear about what she should do due to this unexpected turn of events.

“Impressive! This trick of Jiang Yiliu would have gained how many of the young ladies’ hearts?”

Fatty scanned the surrounding and saw many female cadets watching this proposal with a twinkle in their eyes. All of them were green with jealousy; a long, deep sigh was all they could afford to express their envy towards Su Ruoxue. Comparing oneself against another might really be the death for one.

Jiang Yi stared long and hard at Jiang Yiliu and Su Ruoxue. Upon seeing how flustered Su Ruoxue was, he felt an extreme sense of discomfort. He took a few steps forward suddenly before exclaiming loudly, “Mentor Su, you should just kill him! As for this… harassing and shameless person, you do not have to care about his dignity!”
