Earth's Greatest Magus
Earth's Greatest Magus - Chapter 1990: Best Talents

Arminius and Titus, born in Germania and Samaritan, respectively, were sons of defeated chiefs who contributed their eldest warrior. While raised by the Romans from a very young age. They underwent the best education, received top-notch facilities, and gained battle experience that propelled them to their current status. Their loyalty to Rome surpassed even their loyalty to their own families, making them exemplary Roman soldiers.

A decade later, these two warriors stood at the pinnacle of Roman elites, proudly representing Rome in the arena. One faced the eastern swordsman, while the other confronted the savage warrior from across the sea.

"Fight starts!" announced the senior monk, and with those words, the clash of four warriors commenced, leaving spectators gasping in anticipation.

Arminius, aged 17 years old, battle power of 78

Titus, aged 18 years old, battle power of 80

Ha Ron, aged 17 years old, battle power of 56

Kingrig, aged 16 years old, battle power of 73

Arminius engaged in combat with Ha Ron, and Titus clashed with Kingrig. The four warriors fought fiercely, each move followed by cheers from the engaged spectators.

Emery observed the ongoing battle with a sense of satisfaction. Despite lacking the aid of the Magus academy, each warrior displayed remarkable prowess, reminiscent of the skills he and his friends showcased at the Heavenly Harvest nearly two decades ago.

The spectacle was awe-inspiring, especially witnessing the Romans, with their overwhelming strength and defense, being challenged and pushed by their adversaries.

Ha Ron, with astonishing agility, seemed to hop around the battleground, effortlessly countering Arminius's attacks with precision. His movements were fluid, and in an instant, he created a decisive wound, leaving spectators in awe of his combat finesse. The Han swordsman displayed a mesmerizing rhythm, almost like a ghost gracefully moving through the chaotic battlefield.

Meanwhile, Kingrig, the Mayan warrior, showcased a relentless assault. His movements were unpredictable, a whirlwind of action as he continuously charged forward with his two axes. Each swing carried power and finesse, making it challenging for the Romans to predict and counter his attacks.

The spectators were on the edge of their seats, caught in the intensity of the battles, cheering for their favored warriors and gasping at the strategic maneuvers and impactful strikes.

"Fight!! Yes!! Hit them!!"

"Come on, defeat that Roman!!"

Despite the majority of spectators seemingly favoring the Romans' defeat, the two centurions, though pushed, maintained their composure, focusing on avoiding critical wounds.

The relentless battle endured for a grueling 20 minutes, and it was during this time that the Romans began to seize the advantage. The tactical exchange of blows and maneuvers evolved into a mental chess match, with Arminius and Titus keenly studying their opponents' unique styles. Gradually, they adapted and revealed their hidden strengths.

"Left side!! right!! Steps back!!"

As the battle wore on, Ha Ron's sudden attacks and Kingrig's unpredictable movements started losing their effectiveness against the calculated strategies employed by the Romans.

"Left side!! right!! Steps back!!"

As the battle wore on, Ha Ron's sudden attacks and Kingrig's unpredictable movements started losing their effectiveness against the calculated strategies employed by the Romans.

Titus, employing the [Wind Walk] spell, gained a crucial fighting advantage, sowing confusion on the Mayan fighter. Simultaneously, Arminius weaved his magic, conjuring an [Ice Wall] to restrict Ha Ron's movements. The strain on the swordman's stamina became apparent, a consequence of his low battle power.

The disappointment among the spectators grew palpable as both Romans gained the upper hand. Kingrig was the first to succumb Titus's calculated onslaught. A dozen moderate slices adorned the Mayan warrior's body, and with Kingrig's movements predicted, he found himself forced into a defensive stance.

Summoning the last reserves of his power, Kingrig unleashed a powerful bolt of lightning. Yet, once again, Titus strategically sought the blind spots, securing his victory.

"Titus win! first to enter the final!"

Ha Ron, seemingly destined for a similar fate, all saw his movements grow stiff under the influence of Arminius's ice spell. As Arminius prepared to claim his triumph, a twist unfolded. Ha Ron, refusing to yield, suddenly hurled two concealed flying daggers.

While Arminius deftly blocked one with his shield, the other grazed his cheek. In a surprising turn, Ha Ron vanished using shadow magic and reappeared to strike from behind.

CRACKK!!!

Unfortunately for Ha Ron, the Roman's body was encased in his ice spell, creating a barrier that thwarted half of the sword strike.

Arminius swiftly retaliated with his sword, expecting Ha Ron to defend himself. However, much to Arminius's surprise, Ha Ron willingly allowed the Roman's sword to pierce his body, all in a strategic move to execute a decisive swing aimed at the Roman's neck. Ha Ron halted his swing at the last possible moment, claiming victory with his bold maneuver.

"You are one crazy swordsman!"

The crowd erupted in cheers witnessing another Roman defeat. However, the toll on Ha Ron's body was evident; he was badly wounded and drained of stamina, a condition even a recovery pill would need time to fully address. The observers eagerly awaited the swordsman's decision, and with remarkable courage, Ha Ron walked up to the stage.

"Are you sure you want to struggle like this?" Titus inquired.

Ha Ron remained silent, his gaze fixed on his opponent, both hands on the sword, seemingly gathering all his spirit into one last move. Emery and all the magus on the stage were visibly impressed.

As the combat unfolded, Titus expertly harnessed the capabilities of his wind, seamlessly weaving through the air with ethereal grace Titus twirled and twisted, leaving an afterimage of himself that played tricks on the eyes of his opponent.

Titus, seizing the opportunity, brought his sword down with decisive intent. The blade cut through the air with precision, an embodiment of the Roman warrior's determination. However, Ha Ron, the slender swordsman, was not to be outdone. In a display of extraordinary prowess, he countered with a culmination of all the power he had gathered—a powerful, resonating slash that reverberated through the battlefield.

"SLASHH!!"

The exclamation echoed, a testament to the sheer force behind Ha Ron's strike. The massive sword swing unleashed a torrent of power, a concentrated surge that clashed violently with Titus's own attack. The clash of steel was accompanied by a visceral explosion of energy, creating shockwaves that rippled through the air.

The impact was overwhelming. Titus's sword shattered into fragments as it could not withstand the sheer power of Ha Ron's counter. The force of the blow sent Titus reeling backward, Blood sprayed from his mouth before he collapsed onto the floor.

Emery, witness to the astonishing display of the skill, stood up in amazement. His eyes were wide with disbelief, as he stated "That's a sword intent!"
