Avoid the Protagonist - Chapter 101: I’m Not Familiar With Her (2)
When Xin Siyue returned to her office, she felt her scalp going numb from looking at the rough draft.
The request that Sheng Wenyang mentioned?
She clearly remembered that person was indeed famous and well-known ever since she returned and she did attend numerous programs. However, that was all in Sheng Jin City. Why did she suddenly move to A City? What was her motive behind this?
Xin Siyue was unable to guess her motive so she could only prepare herself mentally to the best of her ability. When the time comes, different situations call for different actions.
Quickly, it was night time.
While the makeup artist was applying makeup for Xin Siyue, she closed her eyes and tried to recall the questions she had to ask.
When everything was ready, she arrived at the recording site. Once all the staff members were in position, she tried the headphone’s sound quality and didn’t notice any problems.
Everything was in place and they were just missing Sheng Wenyang.
Xin Siyue and the others waited a solid 20 or so minutes for her. Sheng Wenyang came in late, wearing a white layered shirt and a black knee skirt that just covered her butt.
Xin Siyue looked at her exquisite face and was slightly lost in her mind: Sheng Wenyang was indeed a rare beautiful woman. While she was intellectual, she wasn’t lacking in sexiness either.
Her gaze landed on Sheng Wenyang’s exposed skin. Right, she had milky skin.
Sheng Wenyang first greeted the leaders of high positions before she peered at Xin Siyue. She asked, “Can we begin?”
“Yes, all the departments, please get ready. Host and the guest, please get ready too.”
Xin Siyue slightly smiled. After all, she needed to act well on the surface. She raised her hand at Sheng Wenyang, “Designer Sheng, I have heard of your name for a very long time.”
Sheng Wenyang smiled charmingly and looked at her. She tilted the corner of her lips up and shook her hand. She said, “Xin Siyue, likewise, I had heard about you too.”
“What?” Xin Siyue was shocked. What did Sheng Wenyang mean by this? She didn’t think her reputation had spread abroad! Then, there is only one possibility left. When Sheng Wenyang returned, she had people investigate Chen Sinan and her as well.
Xin Siyue was shocked. Did Sheng Wenyang take her to be her love rival? So this episode of the program was actually a pit?
Xin Siyue was scared that Sheng Wenyang might hinder her in some ways so she was extremely careful during the first half of the program. When there was a break for fifteen minutes in between, Xin Siyue violently gulped down half a bottle of water, yet her heart was still thumping frenetically.
The second half of the interview started and the topic was mostly on Sheng Wenyang’s personal life.
Sheng Wenyang said, “I was born in an ordinary family. Although I wasn’t rich or anything and my parents were just normal labor workers, to me, I was very lucky that my parents had a great relationship. They adored me dearly and my family was peaceful and blessed.”
Xin Siyue naturally knew about her family situation. She smiled and added, “Indeed, the family environment is essential to the growth of the kids.”
“It’s ok, because to me, it was someone else who influenced me the most.”
“Who?” Xin Siyue tried her best to avoid topics relating to Chen Sinan. Who knew that Sheng Wenyang was still able to seamlessly bring this topic in.
“Besides liking the jewelry career, I also entered because of that person. He told me that everyone was worthy of the best things. As long as you try your best to strive for it. He was someone who was good at everything.”
“Oh? Is that so?”
“Yes, to me, he is the light I am constantly pursuing after in my life.” Sheng Wenyang finished and smiled at Xin Siyue. “Host Xin, maybe you’re not unfamiliar with this person either.”
“Is that so? Then, I am quite lucky too. But, I don’t think so. It is overly too narrow and close-minded to use ‘most advanced’ to determine if something was the best. This is nothing in the world that is ‘the best’. The best is just what people want the most but aren’t able to obtain. It’s just the most suitable to them. So, I believe that what you believe to be the best might not be the same for someone else. After all, ‘a thousand readers still have a thousand Hamlets’. Right? Miss Sheng, the audience is very curious as to how you had spent your time these past few years. Is there anything you can share with us during that time?” Xin Siyue cleverly changed the topic.
