My Wife is the Asura Empress
My Wife is the Asura Empress - Chapter 88: My Wife is a Vampire

"Would you have accepted her if you weren't bound by the oath?" Lia asked with a curious gaze and monitored his face for every detail that may tell her answer.

"What do you think?" He asked mysteriously, keeping an unperturbed expression.

"Hey, that's my line." She jumped onto him and she dived into bit his neck...

"Argh....my wife is a vampire...." He cried out in a sarcastic manner.

Lia let go of him after a while as she was just being playful.

The young maiden was sitting on his lap while her legs were coiled around his waist and her hands wrapped around his neck.

"Answer me." She asked in a questioning tone and a fierce glint in her eyes.

"Do I look stupid?" He asked with a scrunched face.

"Obviously, you do," Lia said with a lively smile while gazing at his sea-green eyes that were looking at her as if this question was meaningless.

"I wouldn't consider that option even if you become less loving or less adorable than already you're my empress. Moreover, I wonder who would want to eat mortal realms food outside when you have a hot Heavenly dish at your home." He gave her solid facts with examples in a nonchalant voice.

"So am I just a Heavenly dish for you?" she asked In a chilly voice, looking extremely adorable.

"And also a sexy vampire, my wifey" He teased her while pinching her cute nose.

"Yuubb....." She was going to say something but her lips were sealed by him as he kissed her.

The tender lips brushed past each other as the love birds drowned in the pleasure.

The blissful moment lasted a few minutes before they separated.

Lia went downstairs to ask Yami to send them food before washing her face to get ready.

They had breakfast together and Rio left to meet Helia to do his mission.

The boy needed to focus on getting strength if he wanted to save the person he cherished.

The morning sun was spreading its warmth around the castle as it welcomed the new day.

He asked about the whereabouts of Helia from the guards and found her at the castle, who was having breakfast alone.

"You're back?" She asked with a frown.

"Your eyes work fine, thankfully." He replied in a stiff voice.

"Heyyy..." She didn't expect such reply as the blonde-haired beauty stared at him and discovered his eyes were missing the old naivety.

There was an additional layer of coldness and maturity in them as if he wouldn't lose his peace in any condition.

'What happened to this guy that he gives an aura of an expert warrior?'

Helia narrowed her eyes at him but

The boy didn't falter from her intimidating gaze.

"Are you here to start with your second mission?" She asked him.

"Yeah." He said in a calm voice.

Rio wasn't cautious of Helia as she was on his side, 90% of the future visions he saw and she wasn't demanding him anything like Nyla.

Helia was actually a good ally to protect the person he cherished.

However, Rio didn't know he was already given to her when she was of very young age. It was all up to the boy and lioness to decide if they wanted to be together.

Although it would be hard for the duo to develop such relationships. This was all in the future. Moreover, if he could make her regret her past actions for mistreating him on their first meeting then she should've had to serve him as her master.

"Your next mission is to claim shelters under humans around the Shamor Empire's border.

Make use of [Ancient Devlin's Beast Emperor Technique] to bring beasts under our banner to defeat those scumbags at your targeted shelter.

When you chase them away from their shelter or you kill them off, link that place to the Teleporter tower by using this artifact. You can activate its mechanism by inserting some mana inside its body."

She explained his next mission and gave him a transparent spherical object that had tiny stars glimmering inside it.

He inspected the little starry ball before keeping it inside his pocket.

"Bronze crest shelter will be your starting point for the new mission. Use beast under this shelter to claim one of the neighboring shelters marked on this map." Helia bring out a folded white sheet and gave him.

Rio opened the paper to check and found there were locations pointed out on the map. Only Bronze crest shelter was mentioned on it.

"Good luck." She said in a nonchalant voice, hiding the worry that was flickering in her red eyes while watching his calm face.

He nodded as her hidden concerning look didn't escape his [Heaven's Eyes].

Rio turned around to leave the room and traveled in the direction of the teleported tower as he used the [Ancient Disguise] spell to change into his 3rd appearance.

'I wonder what happened that changed this guy completely. I don't like the new him. He gives a vibe as if he would snap at me if I said anything bad to him. He became so intimidating.'

Helia sighed inwardly as she saw him walking outside of the room with an appearance similar to her big brother Leon.

***

"Give me [Teleport Glyph] for Bronze Crest Shelter." The blonde-haired boy asked with a stiff voice.

The old man nodded and gave him hastily while recalling his past visits with Empress and princess Helia.

There were two glyphs he handed, one was for going to the Bronze crest shelter and the second for returning to Teleporter tower.

The Old man didn't know Rio could come back using [Astral Recall].

Rio walked towards the ascended platform he use two times in the past that was reserved for Royalty.

He tore apart the [Teleport Glyph] and vanished into the space rift.

After going through many trials and training, the boy went on his first mission against the humans where he would have to face them head-on.
